Linea Minimal Sauna

Linea is the cabin for the strictly minimal interior. Pale birch, a single low bench, a frameless glass wall, and a shadow-gap detail where the cabin meets the surrounding plaster so there is no visible trim. Controls are hidden outside the room. The result is a sauna that photographs as part of the architecture and disappears when it is not in use — chosen most often by owners renovating a white, gallery-like home.

The absence of detail is the detail. With the glass wall clear, the sauna reads as a lit volume rather than a cabin.

Fifteen to twenty minutes of heat, three or four evenings a week, ideally followed by cold and then by stillness. Most owners find the routine settles into the hour before sleep.
