Nord Two Finnish Sauna

Nord Two is the reference point for the rest of the collection: a traditional stone-heater sauna in clear-grade western red cedar, with an upper and lower bench, a generous stone mass for soft steam, and a bronze-tinted glass front that warms the light in the room around it. Cedar was chosen for its aroma and its low thermal conductivity — benches stay tolerable even at full heat. It is intended for owners who want the Finnish ritual itself, löyly and all, rather than a dry cabinet.

Water on the stones and the room answers immediately. The heat is round rather than sharp, and three people can sit without anyone feeling crowded.

• Large stone mass produces soft, humid steam
• Two bench heights for graded heat
• Cedar interior stays comfortable to the touch

• Clear western red cedar throughout
• 9 kW heater with 60 kg stone mass
• Bronze-tinted glass front and door
• Mobile pre-heat scheduling

Fifteen to twenty minutes of heat, three or four evenings a week, ideally followed by cold and then by stillness. Most owners find the routine settles into the hour before sleep.
